Clever County Review

Editorial policy

Clever County Review aims to make claims about household goods clear enough to examine. We separate explanation, opinion and recommendation, and we do not imply that an item has been tested or verified when that work has not been done.

Accuracy and scope

Writers should check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable information, and use precise wording when a claim depends on a particular material, model or use. Comparisons should state the basis for comparison and acknowledge meaningful limits. We do not invent tests, measurements, sources or personal experience. Where an article cannot establish a claim confidently, it should say so or leave the claim out.

Independence and interests

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not to guarantee favourable treatment for a product, maker or partner. Any material relationship that could affect how a subject is presented must be disclosed clearly in the relevant content. Payment or a collaboration does not buy an editorial verdict, and editorial coverage is not presented as independent if it is not.

Corrections

Readers can report a suspected error through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and correct material errors clearly; if a correction changes the meaning of a piece, we make that change apparent. We distinguish corrections from additions or clarifications, and do not quietly leave a known substantive error in place.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or partner material is labelled in plain language where readers encounter it, so it cannot be mistaken for independent editorial coverage. Links or placements accepted through partnerships are identified as partner placements. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they are identified as illustrations and are not offered as documentary photographs or evidence.
